What to have in hand before you look
Checking is quicker, and mistakes are rarer, if you take four details off your ticket or bet slip first:
- The operator. Magnum 4D, Sports Toto, Da Ma Cai or Grand Dragon Lotto. Each holds its own draw, so one operator's result tells you nothing about another's.
- The draw date and draw number. Together they tie your bet to a single draw. In a week with a special draw there are four draws close together, and it is easy to open the wrong one.
- Your number. All four digits, including any leading zero: 0472 is a four-digit number, and the zero counts.
- The bet type and form. Big or Small, and whether it was a straight bet, a permutation, an i-Box or a roll. These decide which rows and which digit orders count.
Step by step: finding your result on this site
Step 1: Open the 4D results page
Go to 4D results. It shows the most recent draw from each operator as a card, side by side, so a single page covers every operator. The note above the cards is a reminder that results are added within two hours of each draw.
Step 2: Pick the operator
If your ticket is for the latest draw, the card you need is already on screen. For an older ticket, open that operator's page: tap the operator's name at the top of its card, or go straight to Magnum, Sports Toto, Da Ma Cai or Grand Dragon Lotto. Each operator page lists its recent draws, newest at the top.
Step 3: Match the draw
Find the card whose draw number and date both match your ticket. If one matches and the other does not, you are looking at the wrong card, which is easy to do in a special-draw week when draws fall close together. If the newest card is dated before your draw, the result has not been added yet. It will appear within two hours of the draw.
Step 4: Compare the numbers
Only now look at the digits, working through the card with one of the methods below. Keep your bet type in mind: Small stops at the three large tiles, Big runs through all 23.
How to read a results card
Every card on the site uses the same layout, whichever operator it belongs to:
- The header. The operator's name on the left; on the right, the word Draw followed by the draw number, then the draw date.
- The top three. Three large tiles in a row, labelled 1st prize, 2nd prize and 3rd prize. The 1st prize tile, on the left, is highlighted.
- Special. The special-prize numbers under the Special label, in rows of five.
- Consolation. The consolation numbers under the Consolation label, also in rows of five.
For Magnum, Sports Toto and Da Ma Cai that is 10 special and 10 consolation numbers, 23 in all with the top three. Every number is shown with all four digits, leading zeros included, so 0472 appears as 0472, never as 472.
Because the layout never changes, a card you have read once can be read at a glance next time. If an operator's own results sheet lays things out differently, with more slots, blank spaces or other games on the same sheet, go by the prize labels rather than by position.
Checking a number against all 23
For a Big bet, 23 numbers is a lot to scan by eye, and a match is easy to skim past. Two methods make it reliable.
Search the page
The numbers on each card are ordinary text, so your browser's find-in-page can locate them. On a computer, press Ctrl+F (Cmd+F on a Mac); on a phone, open the browser menu and choose the find option, usually called Find in page. Type your four digits and every place they appear is highlighted.
On the 4D results page, that searches the latest draw of every operator at once. On an operator page, it searches every draw listed, so make sure the highlight sits on the card for your draw. A draw number can contain the same four digits too, so check that the highlight is in a prize row.
Scan by the first digit
To check by eye, run down the card looking only at the first digit of each number, and stop when it matches yours. Each winning number has a 1 in 10 chance of starting with your digit, so across 23 numbers you will stop about 23 ÷ 10 ≈ 2.3 times on average, instead of reading all 92 digits.
Straight bets: exact order only
A straight bet wins only when all four digits match in the same order. A straight bet on 4827 does not win on 4872 or 7284.
Permutation and i-Box: any order
For a permutation or i-Box bet, any arrangement of your digits counts, which makes find-in-page less useful. The quick test is to sort. Rewrite your number with its digits from smallest to largest, then do the same for any winning number that uses your digits:
- Your number 4827 sorts to 2478.
- 7284 sorts to 2478: a match.
- 4872 sorts to 2478: also a match.
- 4828 sorts to 2488: not a match.
Repeated digits must repeat the same way. A permutation on 1123 matches 3211, because both sort to 1123, but not 1233, which sorts to 1233.
Roll bets: one position free
For a roll, the three fixed digits must match in their positions, and the rolled position can be any digit. A roll on the first digit of 234 matches any winning number ending in 234, from 0234 to 9234. Find-in-page helps here: searching 234 highlights every number that contains it, and you then check that it sits in the last three places.
Big or Small: which rows count
A Small bet counts only the three top-prize tiles; a number in the special or consolation rows does not pay on Small. A Big bet counts all 23, with the top three paid at Big's own rates. If you placed both on the same number, settle each one separately. The guide to how 4D works explains why the two differ and the odds behind them.
Checking several tickets at once
If you play regularly, you may have tickets for more than one operator, or more than one draw, to check on the same day. A little order saves time:
- Group by operator and draw. Check one card at a time, with every ticket for that card together, and finish them all before you move on.
- Use the side-by-side view. If you put the same number on all three main operators for the same draw day, the 4D results page shows the three latest cards together, so one search covers them.
- Recheck old tickets on the operator page. A ticket from an earlier draw is easiest to check on its operator's page, where recent draws are listed newest first.
Why the operator's result is the final word
TPOWER does not run any draw. The numbers on this site are taken from each operator's published results and appear here within two hours of the draw. Any copy of a result, on any site, is one step removed from the source, and even careful copying can go wrong: a transposed digit, or a number in the wrong row. The operator's own published result is the official record.
So confirm with the operator before you act on a result, especially before you:
- throw away a ticket you believe has lost;
- count on a prize, or tell someone else their number has won;
- make any decision about money based on the numbers.
If the numbers here ever differ from the operator's, the operator's result stands. Let our live support know through the support button on any page, with the operator, the draw number and the numbers involved, so the card can be checked.
Checking results on your phone
The results pages are built for small screens and work in any mobile browser, with no account needed. Bookmark the 4D results page, or add it to your home screen from the browser menu, and it opens in one tap on draw days. If you also play, the TPOWER app for Android and iPhone is on the download page.
After you check
A result is a record of one draw. Whether your number came up or not, it has the same 1 in 10,000 chance at each prize position in the next draw, so there is no reason to raise stakes to chase a near miss or a losing week. Keep 4D to a budget you set in advance, as entertainment for adults aged 18 and over. The responsible gaming page explains TPOWER's limits, breaks and self-exclusion, and our guide to responsible gaming in Malaysia covers where to find help.
Frequently asked questions
My number has the right digits in a different order. Have I won?
Only if your bet covered that order. A straight bet needs the exact order. A permutation or i-Box covers every arrangement of your digits, so it wins on any of them, at the rates for that bet form.
What if the numbers here differ from the operator’s?
The operator’s published result stands. Tell our live support through the support button, with the operator, the draw number and the numbers involved, so the card can be checked.
Do I need an account to check 4D results?
No. The results pages are open to everyone, in any browser. You only need a TPOWER account to place a bet.
Why does my number show up more than once when I search the page?
The same four digits can appear in more than one draw or operator, or inside a draw number. Check that each highlight sits in a prize row, on the card for your operator and draw.
How do I check a ticket for a special draw?
The same way as any other. A special draw gets its own card with its own draw number and date, so match both to your ticket before you compare numbers.
