Live Roulette Malaysia — Play Roulette on TPOWER

A real wheel, a real ball and a dealer who calls every number. This roulette guide covers the wheels you will meet at live tables, every main bet and its payout, and how the zero shapes your odds.

What is live roulette?

Close-up of a roulette wheel's numbered pockets

Roulette asks one question: where will the ball land? You place chips on a layout that mirrors the wheel, covering a single number, a group of numbers or a broad choice such as red or black. The dealer spins the wheel one way and the ball the other, and every bet covering the winning pocket is paid.

In live roulette the wheel is real, filmed in a studio as it spins. You bet on a digital copy of the layout while the timer runs, and a close-up shows the winning pocket. The TPOWER live casino offers roulette tables from providers such as AG, AE, CT855, Pegasus, Evolution and Dream Gaming.

Roulette wheels and variants at live tables

The first thing to check at any roulette table is how many zeros the wheel has.

  • European roulette. 37 pockets: the numbers 1 to 36 and a single green zero. It is widely available at live tables.
  • American roulette. A second green pocket, double zero, makes 38. The payouts stay the same, so the extra pocket works in the house's favour.
  • French roulette. A single-zero wheel, sometimes with a rule called La Partage: when zero lands, even-money bets lose only half their stake.
  • Speed and auto roulette. Faster rounds, or an automatic wheel with no dealer, so more spins fit into an hour.
  • Multiplier roulette. Some tables add random multipliers to a few numbers each round. To fund them, the usual payout on a single number is lower than 35 to 1.

Wheel type and payouts are listed in each table's rules panel, and they vary by provider.

Roulette guide: the bets and what they pay

Bets fall into two families. Inside bets sit on the numbers themselves and pay more. Outside bets sit around the edge of the layout and win more often.

Inside bets

  • Straight up: one number, pays 35 to 1.
  • Split: two neighbouring numbers, pays 17 to 1.
  • Street: a row of three numbers, pays 11 to 1.
  • Corner: four numbers that meet at a corner, pays 8 to 1.
  • Six line: two adjacent rows, pays 5 to 1.

Outside bets

  • Red or black, odd or even, 1–18 or 19–36: each covers 18 numbers and pays even money.
  • Dozens and columns: each covers 12 numbers and pays 2 to 1.

Zero is neither red nor black, odd nor even, so outside bets lose when it lands, unless a La Partage rule returns half.

Single zero versus double zero

The payouts above are the same on every wheel; the number of pockets is not. On a single-zero wheel, the house edge on almost every bet is about 2.7%, the share of stakes the game keeps over the long run. The second zero on an American wheel raises it to about 5.3%, close to double. Choosing a single-zero table is the simplest way to lower the cost of playing.

Playing roulette on your phone and in the TPOWER app

Live tables adapt the busy roulette layout for phones, with a compact board and a zoomed shot of the wheel as the ball drops. Join in your mobile browser or through the TPOWER app for Android or iPhone; the install steps are on the download page.

  • Turn the phone sideways if the board feels cramped. Many tables show a wider layout in landscape.
  • Use repeat and undo with care. Repeat places last round's bets again at the same stakes, so check the total before betting closes.
  • Watch the timer, not the wheel. Betting closes around the launch of the ball; late taps are not accepted.
  • Keep a steady connection. If the picture freezes, the spin still completes at the table. If a bet looks wrongly settled, note the table and the time and contact live support with the support button.

Roulette tips: odds, variance and a sensible budget

These tips will not help you beat the wheel. They help you understand what you are betting on and keep play affordable.

  • Every spin is independent. The wheel has no memory. A run of reds does not make black due, and the hot and cold numbers on screen are a history, not a forecast.
  • Same edge, different ride. On a single-zero wheel, a straight-up bet and a bet on red cost about the same over the long run. The difference is variance: outside bets win often and pay little, so a budget swings less; single numbers win rarely and pay a lot, so a balance rises and falls sharply.
  • Covering more numbers is not a shortcut. Spreading chips across the layout means some of them lose on every spin, and the edge applies to each chip.
  • Skip progressions. Doubling your stake after a loss does not change the house edge. It turns an ordinary losing streak into a large loss, and table maximums stop the sequence anyway.
  • Decide your budget and your stopping time first, then use TPOWER's deposit and session limits to hold to them. The responsible gaming page explains each tool.

Live roulette questions

Which roulette wheel should I choose?

Where you have the choice, a single-zero wheel: European or French. It pays the same as a double-zero American wheel but has one fewer losing pocket, which roughly halves the house edge.

What happens to red or black bets when zero comes up?

They lose, along with the other even-money bets, because zero is neither red nor black. On French tables with La Partage, half the stake is returned instead. The rules panel shows which applies.

What is the racetrack on a roulette table?

An oval layout that follows the order of numbers on the wheel. It places several chips at once on a number and its neighbours, or on a named section, and each chip is paid as an ordinary straight-up, split, street or corner bet.

Why do some tables pay less than 35 to 1 on a single number?

Multiplier tables lower the standard straight-up payout to fund random multipliers on selected numbers. Check the payout panel so you know what a winning number pays at the table you choose.

Can I play live roulette with small stakes?

Each table shows its minimum and maximum bets before you join, and limits vary between tables and providers. Pick one whose minimum fits comfortably within your budget.
